Two friends look back at their college days while searching for their lost companion who deeply shaped their lives and encouraged them to be themselves, regardless of what the world thinks.
“All is well.”. The main motto of the film. All our hearts need to hear to give them enough courage to face the challenges and uncertainty that life presents us.
We join the main characters as they figure out life, their purpose and meaning, friendship, family and emotions. A marvelous cinematography, magnificent plot and meaningful dialogues make a near 3 hour movie never feel dull – it entertains while it moves, it saddens while it gives hope, it motivates while it compels you to introspect. As we move through the many dramatic, emotional, comedic, entertaining, musical, solemn or wholesome scenes this movie presents us, we can´t help but feel a roller coaster of emotions. It certainly is an accomplishment to make someone go from laughing uncontrollably to crying desperately as fast as this movie is able to, while providing innumerable lessons, messages and morals one can keep for life.
An all-around wonderful cinematic work and also a great window into a different culture and movie industry, at times very different from Hollywood.
