Between which years was the Spanish Civil War fought?

Due to this clear-cut distinction of ideals and the international political scene at the time, this Civil War quickly became more than a war, representing for many the struggle between classes, creeds, or political stances.
The Nationalists won the war, putting an end to the Second Spanish Republic and placing Franco in power, where he would stay until 1975.
